Grade 6 Science Projects

Congratulations for our students for a job well done! The Year 6 students have learned about simple machines. As part of a Science Project at the end of this scholastic year, each student made their own simple machine. The students’ creativity and ability to show what they have learned was impressive. The machines were all of different shapes and sizes but were all able to scientifically prove one or a combination of the six simple machines, namely, lever, wedge, screw, inclined plane, pulley, wheel and axle. They ranged from catapults, crowbars, to home-made vacuum cleaner, all sorts of pulleys etc. These projects help to expose our students to a broad range of opportunities for scientific inquiry arming them with the tools and knowledge that yield enlightening results about the world around them.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank our Year 6 students for these past two years that we have spent learning and teaching each other and wish nothing but the best for the next phase of their education.

Love you all.
